Kirkwood es la cuidad más grande en la gran Ruta de Addo. Acurrucada en las sombras del el Rietberg, esta vibrante aldea es el punto de partida de rutas 4x4, senderos de aventuras y lugar para una gran diversidad de flora y fauna. Kirwood es también es hogar de un pequeño dinosaurio carnívoro apodado Kirky. El fósil fue descrito en el año 2000 como uno de los más completos especímenes preservados hasta el momento.
